[The first sensation Kotetsu feels is pain: a headache, which is already pounding away at his temples; there's just darkness at the moment. He can feel that his eyes are closed, hearing an inhuman sigh--a lion?--and it's pretty weird because it sort of sounds like it's coming from himself. But that wouldn't make sense. It's a few minutes later that he feels his body twist and change, but he can't snap himself awake despite his mental efforts. When he finally cracks open his eyes, he's acutely aware something is really weird.

That is, he's laying on Barnaby's couch naked. With a collar hanging off his neck. With no memory of how he got there.

...

Oh my christ.

He leaps up in horror, throwing a blanket off him. For some reason, his balance is weird, because he feels like two legs just isn't enough; there's a crash as he collapses forward into the table, knocking his journal around--just a short, horrified sort of message is sent out in the process--]

What the hell--

Where are my cloth--

[Ooooouuurgh. He feels his stomach churn--must've been the food he last ate, not that he remembers, and he slaps a hand over his mouth, stumbling to his feet as he drags the blanket with him. In no time he's in the bathroom leaning over the toilet, retching the last remains of a particularly not!human meal. Just gonna... sit here for a second. Phewwwww.]

[Voice]

[Okay. Once things are all sorted out and these hangover symptoms of his experiment are settled, he finally realizes he accidentally sent out a voice message over the journals. Can't let it be just that, since... you know, he didn't want to worry anyone with terror. So he composes himself, itching his hairline in embarrassment. He's finally remembering bit by bit of his tiger experiences. Huh. Weird.]

Naa, I guess I... uh, was pretty weird these last two weeks. If you ran into a tiger, thanks a lot for keeping me company!

I hope I didn't cause anyone too much... trouble...

[He's thinking of you specifically, Nami.

Aaand he groans, rubbing a hand across his face.]

I'm never eating meat again.

[Which is a total lie, but whatever. He'll be out and about if you want to meet him in person; the grocery store, to apologize for wrecking havoc on their deli while he's there, to the restaurant to get some real food in his stomach, and then maybe the orchard to make sure it's not... completely... ruined. :|]

[calling after worriedly:]

[Slowly... pulls collar off over head... and tosses it in the tiny waste-bin nearby.]

and the second that collar is over his head

barnaby chucks a pair of flannel pajama pants in his face. ]

[ they might be a little big in the ass area but they'll fit ]

Uh. Thanks.

[He'll just... slide those on under this blanket now. But he makes no effort to move anymore than that, vouching instead to stay on the floor with his head miserably pressed into his knees.]

I'm not sure what's going on.

[Because clearly before this, it was totally obvious I knew what was going on.]

[ hey you seemed pretty happy to be a tiger okay

barnaby sighs, and runs a hand through his sleep mussed hair, then bends to pick up the glass he'd dropped (YOU'RE LUCKY IT DIDN'T BREAK). he moves into the bathroom and past kotetsu, rinses the glass in the sink and refills it, then kneels down in front of his partner and offers it out.

yeah it's gonna have his cooties on it you'll just have to deal. ]

I know. You must be confused.

[Oh, thank god, that water can work miracles on my agitated stomach. He guzzles down most of it before he continues, wiping his mouth,] I remember.... Uhh... I remember—I was getting ready to leave the apartment.

And then...

[He rubs his temple. It's not all clicking yet; but some sort of dreadful feeling grabs him and something tells him something else happened that really, really sucked. A sigh.]

Something—

[His eyes widen faintly, gaze downcast at the floor as something comes back to him. It's not long before that dawning expression turns into something sheepish.]

That's right.... Those weird robots came and got me, didn't they?

[Crap. How did he forget something like that?]

[ well now that it's time to rehabilitate his partner, barnaby just .. gets comfortable on the floor here (it's sparkling clean of course, if not entirely comfortable) -- but not before plucking the glass out of kotetsu's grasp to get him a refill. ]

.. Yeah. They did.

[ and then i went batshit and now i'm kind of plotting conspiracy with a certain redhead. ]

[ ugh, those memories; barnaby's completely disguising it but man he sure is hating himself for letting them take you like that, and do .. who knows what. ]

[... Your brackets, Bunny, god. I'm gone for like a week or something and you plot conspiracies with redheads. He drinks up, still rubbing his temple, as if that will magically return his memory to him.]

[Now that's confusing. He sighs, frustrated at himself.]

Mrrr, was... I konked out or something?

[I mean, there were a lot of needles and drugs involved; maybe that was it. :|]

[ well hey man you might be content with being kidnapped and held against your will but he sure isn't. ]

[ jeez, he to explain this. barnaby pinches the bridge of his nose, and sighs. ]

I'm sorry, I can't really offer much of an explanation..
