Hm.] Well, like I said, I'll speak to the animals so they won't bother you if they happen to see you, but try to keep some little bits of food around if you do happen upon one. The ones I come across, at least, can be bribed with food for a ride or carrying heavy things...though I'm also able to communicate with them a little bit because I'm a poncle, but...you can still try!

And, ehh...I suppose keep items on hand. Rope or string if you can't hop very high like I can, a weapon, maybe, like a sword or a knife or spear...oh! If it begins to rain, leaves and mushrooms make good parasols to keep the water off! And stay far, far away from the paths a lot of people walk every day.
