When he's done he sits in silence for a while, letting her go about what she needs to - simple stuff. He supposes that maybe she's trying to linger and make sure he's not escaping again, but he's just guessing at this point.
But his mind is on a loop, full of questions and images ans thoughts. So before he can really stop himself, he asks her - without looking at her -]
